NEW ADDITION FOR 2009: PRIVACY TRAINING & CERTIFICATION DAY
FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 200
9

Do you have an annual requirement to train data-sensitive positions on data privacy and security?  Are you looking to try something different for a change of pace?  The day after the Privacy Retreat, a privacy training session will be offered at Travelers.  The session will cover these topics: home-office security, laptop and mobile device security, work area security, and the main points from PCI DSS, HIPAA, GLBA, CAN SPAM, COPPA, PIPEDA, EU Data Directive, and Safe Harbor that people in data-sensitive positions need to know.

Do your company's auditors want to learn how to scope and execute a privacy audit?  Does your privacy staff hope to launch a sustained employee-awareness program for privacy and security?  We will be offering workshops on these topics where attendees will leave with draft project plans and deliverable templates.

Do you want to become a Certified Information Privacy Professional?  The IAPP and a representative from Ernst & Young will be proctoring this exam on the day after the Retreat, at Traveler's.  Exam candidates will be able to take the Certification Foundation exam and one module of their choice – CIPP, CIPP/G, CIPP/C or CIPP/IT.  For more information about the CIPP certification program, including course outlines and training materials, please visit the IAPP website.  To register, visit the IAPP Community Portal.   PLEASE NOTE: Membership in the IAPP is a requirement to take any of our certification exams. See below for a detailed schedule.
